Hummingbird
Drinking
the sweet nectar of flowering plants, contributing to its pollination,
the Hummingbird can hover mid-air while flapping its wings 50-80 times
in a second. This zippy flier can move from flower to flower, stopping
momentarily to truly "smell the roses." Only seen in the summertime,
this red throated bird is attracted to bright petals and "hums"
a monotonous tune to our ears. Often only seen as a fleeting glimpse,
a capture of the Hummingbird on tile would be a stunning piece of art
in any den or on any hearth. Place this tile on a dining table and use
it as a trivet when serving from hot bowls.
